The Business Coalition for Fair Competition (BCFC) to hosted a policy roundtable with Rep. John Mica (R-FL).
Rep. Mica is the Chair of the House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Government Operations, with jurisdiction over procurement and acquisition for the Federal government.

Topics discussed during the roundtable included: Government acquisition and procurement; “insourcing”; OMB Circular A-76 public-private cost comparisons; Federal Prison Industries (FPI) Reform; Federal real property management and ownership; postal reform; and other forms of unfair government competition with the private sector. Transportation and infrastructure issues and the role of the private sector (Corps of Engineers water resources, AMTRAK, and many others) were discussed.
